D-Day was a surprise attack that was planned by the allies to take France from the Axis Powers this was a success but it took on long year. D-Day was one of the last major battles of the war in Europe. Boats with infantry were shipped into the France shores, so the allies could attack from the ground. Little did the Germans know the allies would had dropped hundreds of Paratroopers over Normandy, and had also dropped bombs to mislead the Germans.
